Notes

'Dragon’s Nest' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dragon’s Nest') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers have bright red guards and a bright yellow collar. A tuft of red petals sits in the center of each bloom. The Japanese flower form looks bold in a vase or in the garden.

Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Little bluestem, and Queen of Night tulip.
