Notes

'Dupondius' peony (Paeonia 'Dupondius') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The cream-yellow flowers have a light pink edge, measure 6 inches across, and draw butterflies and bees. Joshua Scholten bred it, and the erect stems suit cutting. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Stargazer lily.
