Notes

'Dusky Maiden' rose (Rosa 'Dusky Maiden') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Crimson-scarlet blooms with yellow stamens are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Edward Burton Le Grice bred it in 1951.

Pairs well with Butterfly bush, Casa Blanca lily, Jackmanii clematis, and Pink Hawaiian Coral peony.
