'Dynamite' tulip (Tulipa 'Dynamite') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The dark purple-red flowers open from early to late spring on stems about 12 inches tall. Each bloom has an ivory white base with fine sea blue stripes inside. Hybris bred it.
Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Claire de Lune peony, and Indian grass.
