Notes
'Early Bird Purple' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia 'Early Bird Purple') is a shrub for borders, containers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and most soil types. It grows about 59 to 71 inches tall and 35 to 47 inches wide, and it tolerates drought once settled. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it room to reach its full size.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Agapanthus, and Orange daylily.
