'Eastern Star' botanical tulip (Tulipa humilis 'Eastern Star') is a bulb for rock gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It blooms in mid spring with pink flowers that have a yellow base. It stays low, at 3 to 6 inches tall, so plant it near the front of the bed where you can see it.
Pairs well with Gladiator ornamental onion, Royal Star star magnolia, and Delphinium.
