Notes

'Royal Star' star magnolia (Magnolia stellata 'Royal Star') is a shrub for specimen planting, borders, foundation beds, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a mounding form, so give it room to spread. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, Chokeberry, and Switchgrass.
