Notes

'Eglantine' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Eglantine') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, single blooms open in mid to late spring and early summer. The petals start blush pink, with a darker pink reverse, and age to white around a cluster of yellow stamens. Auguste Dessert bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Lily of the valley, and Shrub rose.
