Notes

'El Cid' rose (Rosa 'El Cid') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting, and it also fits a pollinator garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant orange-red blooms appear in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. David L. Armstrong bred it in 1969.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Gladiolus, and Blue jasmine.
