Notes
'Elbrook' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Elbrook') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flower beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Magenta-pink petals surround a bronze-orange center cone from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Indian Summer rudbeckia, and Nodding onion.
