Notes

'Elysium' peony (Paeonia 'Elysium') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. This tall plant bears large, fragrant, faintly flushed white flowers with an enormous center of stamens. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Little bluestem, and Charles Joly lilac.
