Notes
'Emerald Crest' caryopteris (Caryopteris clandonensis 'Emerald Crest') is a shrub for borders, containers, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its fragrant flowers appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, and Blue grama.
