Notes

'Beyond Midnight' caryopteris (Caryopteris clandonensis 'Beyond Midnight') is a shrub for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant blooms in summer and again in autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Once settled in, it is drought tolerant and needs little care.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, Stonecrop, and Feather reed grass.
