Notes

'Summer Sorbet' caryopteris (Caryopteris clandonensis 'Summer Sorbet') is a shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance or xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Blue flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, Stonecrop, and Agapanthus.
