Notes

'Emerald Surprise' winter creeper (Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald Surprise') is a climbing shrub. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid rate and blooms from early to late summer. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates salt. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Beautyberry, Hummingbird's mint, and Contorta eastern white pine.
