Notes

'Emma' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Emma') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. H.A. Terry bred it. The large Japanese type blooms open in late spring and early summer. Many flowers sit high above the compact foliage.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, Swamp milkweed, and Pink Impression tulip.
