Notes

'Enchanted Evening' peony (Paeonia 'Enchanted Evening') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double flowers are apricot-peach-cream with cerise-red flares, and they bloom late. Stems may flop under the heavy blooms, so give the spreading plant some support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Black Parrot tulip, Sedge, and Sweet pepperbush.
