Notes

English oak (Quercus robur) is a tree for specimen planting, woodland settings, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its yellowish-green spring flowers draw bees, butterflies, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. Drought tolerance makes it easy to keep.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Dogwood, Feather reed grass, and Greig's tulip.
