Notes

'English Sonnet' rose (Rosa 'English Sonnet') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright shrub grows 30 to 39 inches tall and has medium green leaves. Its fragrant apricot blooms open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn, and bees visit them. Harkness & Co bred it, and Harkness New Roses introduced it in 1989.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Purple top, and Red-hot poker.
