Notes

English walnut (Juglans regia) is a tree for food gardens and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows into a rounded shape, so give it plenty of room. Birds visit the tree, and the yellowish-green flowers have a fragrance. You can grow it for its nuts.

Pairs well with Maidenhair tree, Tarragon, and Red Riding Hood tulip.
