Notes

'Red Riding Hood' tulip (Tulipa 'Red Riding Hood') is a bulb for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 6 to 9 inches tall, so it stays short and sturdy. Scarlet red flowers with a black blotch inside the base open from early to late spring.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, August Moon hosta, and Double Play Doozie spirea.
