Notes
'Ernesto Cardenal' tulip (Tulipa 'Ernesto Cardenal') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The dark purple-red blooms open from early to late spring. Plants reach about 24 inches tall, so they work well in the middle of a bed.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Shirley Temple peony, and Indian grass.
