'Esther' tulip (Tulipa 'Esther') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It blooms in early to late spring and grows about 20 inches tall. The flowers are fuchsine pink and fade lighter toward the edge. Each bloom has a blue base and greenish anthers inside.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Fanal astilbe, and Nodding onion.
