Notes

'Eternal Flame' peony (Paeonia 'Eternal Flame') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 22 inches tall and bears fragrant, single, cup-shaped carmine-pink blooms that attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, and Switchgrass.
