Notes

'Etienne' rose (Rosa 'Etienne') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and loamy or clay soil. The mauve blooms are fragrant and open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Paul Barden bred it in 2011.

Pairs well with Weigela, Monsieur Jules Elie peony, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
