Notes

Evolution salvia (Salvia 'Evolution (farinacea)') is a plant for borders, pollinator gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers, which open in spring, summer, and autumn. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Mexican sunflower, and Lily.
