Notes
'Fancy Free' peony (Paeonia 'Fancy Free') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1951. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant, orange-red blooms have yellow markings and attract bees and butterflies.
Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
