Notes

'Fanfare' blanket flower (Gaillardia grandiflora 'Fanfare') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Maiden pink, and Foxtail barley.
