Notes
'Fanfare Blaze' blanket flower (Gaillardia grandiflora 'Fanfare Blaze') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It also tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Hidcote lavender, and Sapphire alpine oatgrass.
