Notes
'Fanfare' larkspur (Delphinium 'Fanfare') is a perennial for borders and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Pale violet blooms with white eyes appear in spring and again in summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 48 to 96 inches tall, so give it a spot at the back of the bed.
Pairs well with Coral Sunset peony, Star Gazer lily, and Tall fescue.
