Notes

'Fathead' Spanish lavender (Lavandula stoechas 'Fathead') is an herb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a mounding evergreen clump with fragrant flowers that bloom in spring and again in summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Lavender cotton, Marsh spurge, and Kent Beauty oregano.
