Notes

'Firefinch' coneflower (Echinacea 'Firefinch') is a perennial for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. The fragrant, single flowers open from early to late summer in shades of red, reddish-orange, and lavender-pink around dark cones. It sits low on the menu for deer. Bees visit the blooms, and the seeds feed birds over winter.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Blue grama, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
