Notes
'Fireworks' globe amaranth (Gomphrena globosa 'Fireworks') is an annual for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It grows 35 to 47 inches tall and wide, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to grow.
Pairs well with Victoria Blue salvia, Black-eyed Susan, Karma Lagoon dahlia, and Borage.
