Notes
'First Love' tulip (Tulipa 'First Love') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The fragrant yellow-orange flowers open from early to late spring on stems about 12 inches tall. Each petal carries a red flame with darker striping. Jan van Bentem Bloembollen bred it.
Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Little bluestem, and Ernest Markham clematis.
