Notes

'First Prize' rose (Rosa 'First Prize') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright canes carry fragrant pink blend blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Eugene S. Boerner bred it in 1972.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Mexican hat, and Fountain grass.
