'Flaming Purissima' tulip (Tulipa 'Flaming Purissima') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and opens yellow-green blooms from early to late spring. You can cut the blooms for bouquets.
Pairs well with Purissima tulip, Armenian grape hyacinth, Spring Green tulip, and Imperial fritillary.
