Notes
'Flore Pleno' soapwort (Saponaria officinalis 'Flore Pleno') is a perennial for cottage gardens, meadows, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Pink, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Rubenza cosmos, and Red cedar.
