Notes
'Fly away' tulip (Tulipa 'Fly away') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It bears red blooms from early to late spring. R. Huyg bred it. Plants reach 12 to 24 inches tall, so they suit the front or middle of a bed.
Pairs well with Purple Dream tulip, Wood forget-me-not, and White Splendour Greek thimbleweed.
