Notes

'Frances Shaylor' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Frances Shaylor') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double white blooms open in mid to late spring and have a slight, pleasant fragrance. A bright yellow glow comes from anthers on the sides of many petals. Egbert Jerome Shaylor bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Sensitive fern, and Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea.
