Notes

'Fred Howard' rose (Rosa 'Fred Howard') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright shrub bears fragrant yellow blend blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Frederick Huber Howard bred it in 1952.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Star Gazer lily, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Queen of Night tulip.
