Notes

'Frensham' rose (Rosa 'Frensham') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Albert Norman bred it in 1946.

Pairs well with Hummelo betony, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
