Notes

'Frosty' Chinese elm (Ulmus parvifolia 'Frosty') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and winter interest, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows at a moderate rate into a dense shape. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Kentucky coffeetree, Winterberry, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
