Notes

'Général Testard' rose (Rosa 'Général Testard') is a shrub for cottage garden planting, specimen display, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Fragrant red blooms with white centers open from early to late summer, and bees visit them. Pajotin-Chedane bred it in 1918 as a sport of 'American Pillar'.

Pairs well with Hardy hibiscus, Ornamental onion, and Indian grass.
