Notes

'Gold Crest' daffodil (Narcissus 'Gold Crest') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. R.O. Backhouse bred it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Star magnolia, Red Charm peony, and Hinoki cypress.
