Notes
'Gold Nugget' tickseed (Coreopsis 'Gold Nugget') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or clay soil. Yellow flowers with red eyes open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer tend to pass it by. Drought tolerance makes it an easy choice for hot spots.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Little bluestem, and Woolly yarrow.
