Notes

'Red Elf' tickseed (Coreopsis 'Red Elf') is a perennial for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Red flowers with yellow center disks bloom from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer. Plants stay 9 to 12 inches tall.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Blue fescue, and Clary sage.
