Notes
'Golden Charm' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Charm') is a shrub for specimen planting, foundation beds, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It stays evergreen and grows at a moderate rate. Plants reach 60 to 72 inches tall and 84 to 96 inches wide with an open habit, so give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Prairie dropseed, Dancing Queen hosta, and Greig's tulip.
