Notes
'Golden Fastigiata' hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Golden Fastigiata') is a tree for specimen use, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen, so it keeps its color through the cold months. It grows at a moderate rate and reaches 24 to 36 inches tall.
Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Sedge, and Christmas fern.
