Notes

'Golden Yellow' strawflower (Xerochrysum viscosum 'Golden Yellow') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and xeriscapes. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, loamy soil. Profuse gold blooms appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and they suit fresh or dried arrangements. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The plant grows 36 to 40 inches tall and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Purple sage, Bindweed, and Lemongrass.
