Notes

Gooseneck loosestrife (Lysimachia clethroides) is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. White flowers arch like goose necks and bees visit them. It grows fast in a clump, so give it room to spread. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Royal fern, Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea, and Solomon's seal.
